Mr. B didn't want to stay in for long but the other 2 kept right on going! Notice the water level is getting slightly higher! No worries for them.

Cardboard boat
Ahhh.....the imagination and creativity of children, my children in particular! What better to do with a big cardboard box than throw it away?? Why not turn it into a boat! These boys spent days working on this creation. They put a lot of thought into the detail, including skateboard seats, some nice tape work, a little Elmer's glue, some paint and a sturdy stick with a flipper hooked to the end for a paddle! There could have been no better way to spend our last day of summer. We packed up the boat and took it up to first dam to see if and how long this thing would float! Smooth sailing so far! I was impressed that it was 1-actually floating, 2-floating holding all 3 of them and 3-they actually seemed to know what they were doing and could paddle them selves around the lake.

I am so glad I got to see it float!!! Did they keep the skateboards inside or take them out? Those kids rock!
ReplyDeleteWow!! your boys are pretty creative! What good parents you are to have gone along with it. I am not so sure I would have had the confidence that it would have worked!!!! :)
